Staff meetings are one of my favorite traditions here at Tailored Engagements. I love to cook, entertain, bake and socialize so naturally I decided to incorporate all of these things into our monthly meetings. We get together to chat about weddings, upcoming projects, things that have inspired us and life in general. I plan the menu, everyone helps cook (while testing the wine we will have with dinner) and the conversation flows.
I cherish this time with my team. Not only do we get a lot accomplished (no really, we actually do!) but we also get to relax and just enjoy each others’ company. We spend a lot of time together so we might as well enjoy each other, right?
This month’s meeting was Barefoot Contessa inspired and since I could feel the craziness of the Holidays bearing down on me, I wanted to do something easy. All of the recipes came right from one of my favorite cook books: Barefoot Contessa. How easy is that? As usual, Ina pulled through for me in a pinch and everything was delicious. We worked, laughed, sipped wine without discriminating against red or white and we also came up with some great new ideas. Like turning my shoe obsession into a weekly post on Facebook. I can’t wait for January and the next Staff Meeting!
