Shay and Tom are Getting Married!!!

Shay is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and Tom is witty and supportive. They are one of those couples that you know is truly happy just by being around them for a few minutes. They have taken a fun, lighthearted approach to the planning process and it has been so much fun working on their playful wedding! Tom proposed at the Chicago Zoo and they strolled through exhibits for their engagement pictures along with some more shots around the Windy City. How can you go wrong when a gorilla makes an appearance in your engagement pics?  I love each and every photo by Milwaukee’s talented Heather Cook Elliott. Shay and Tom look so in love and so natural. Their Lake Geneva wedding at the beautiful Rivera is tomorrow and I am bursting at the seams to show you all the amazing DIY details and cheery décor. Let’s just say POPPIES!!! Need I say more? Didn’t think so! Congrats to the happy couple!!  I am sure tomorrow will be an amazing...

Shannon and John are Engaged!

Shannon and John are two of the nicest people you will ever meet (so naturally they are my clients). Shannon is bubbly and always seems to be bursting with energy and laughter. John is quiet and always seems to be carefully thinking about things. He is always super supportive of Shannon and Shannon always carefully weighs John’s opinion when making wedding decisions.   I am SO ready for their big day to be here already! I can almost taste the food they carefully selected and I can see the shades of purple and sparkling crystals as I write this. I can hear the laughter from their guests in the smile booth and smell the sweet little cupcakes, Yum!! They are one of my few couples to include an engagement video with their picture and it is adorable!!! Check it out here (the third video down) So to Shannon and John, enjoy your last few weeks before the big day and since the wedding will be at Cuvee I think it is only fitting to end with, Cheers!!!! Sumner and Mike

Sumner and Mike are getting married  tomorrow and it is going to be a beautiful day filled with vintage touches and special details.  This wedding is one I have been waiting for, I love all of the weddings I style and this one is no exception.  Sumner has great taste and a really awesome fashion sense. Mike and Sumner’s engagement shoot was no exception, it was also covered in detail and brimming with adorableness!  Jaci from Gloss Photography Studios worked her magic and the couple went with whatever Jaci asked of them which always makes for the best pictures.  Sumner even laid on the ground in a white dress … what a dare devil! I can’t wait to get these two married in a day full of loveliness!  Congratulations to the...

Amanda and Jeff

Amanda and Jeff are doing just what I tell all of my couples to do, personalizing their wedding.  They are getting married in Green Lake where Jeff’s parents have a lake house.  Amanda and Jeff have spent countless weekends there.  It has been their getaway, a place to relax, laugh and enjoy each other’s company. And now … it’s the place they will get married in just a few short days!  I can’t wait to see Amanda and Jeff on the big day, but until then here is a peak at their engagement session.  A big thanks to Sarah Immel from Sarah Immel Photography for the Green Lake engagement session pictures!...

Katie and Jadon

Katie and Jadon will be married tomorrow and I cannot wait! As you know, I love personalized details and their wedding is full of them! There will be a custom corn bag game, unique photo booth, and DIY details at every turn. Katie is crafty and Jadon is handy so they are a DIY dream team! I typically tell couples to scale back on the handmade (i.e. time-consuming) projects but they finished almost every project months before the wedding, which makes this planner very happy! Jadon is a photographer in the Milwaukee area and has seen his share of weddings. Katie is in graphic design and made some rocking stationary for the festivities. They are a fun, laid-back couple who put a lot of time and thought into their wedding day. Not only do they want everything to look amazing but they also want their guests to have a great time. I have a feeling their reception will be hopping Saturday night! (Yes, I just said hopping.) So, while we prepare for the big day I will let you feast your eyes on this adorable couple! Thanks to the talented David Jackson from David E. Jackson Studios for the fabulous pics!  Seriously, go check him...

Emily and Colin

Emily and Colin are a very cool couple, they enjoy coffee, literature, traveling and all things nostalgic.  Their apartment is filled with the coolest treasures like vintage books and cameras and their wedding will be no different.  No cookie cutter festivities for them, everything will be unique and fun for their big day and I know the guests will leave with something to talk about. The ceremony and reception will be outside at Emily’s parent’s house with an art nouveau feel to it and a lot of personal touches.  I love tented weddings because you start with a clean slate and add the elements that work for you – not just the typical wedding venue accoutrements. Emily is having her dress custom created from her mother’s wedding dress.  I saw sketches and wow, it is Fierce (as my assistant Tom would say).  I know she will look stunning and I can not wait to see the final product … neither can Tom. Their wedding pictures are as cool as they are and were shot by Woodnote Photography.  Woodnote photography’s pictures are intriguing, vintage inspired and very special just like the couple.  Congrats Emily and Colin.  We can’t wait for you to be married!!  Check out the Woodnote blog for more pictures of Emily and Colin. ...
